Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These are the Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report terms and conditions. They set out the rules for using addictiontreatmentcenterexitreport.com, what you can and can’t do with our content, and the limits of what we’re responsible for. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

We’ve kept the language plain on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@addictiontreatmentcenterexitreport.com and we’ll explain it.

Terms at a glance

  • Our articles are general information for owners and operators in addiction treatment and behavioral health. They aren’t legal, tax, investment or clinical advice.
  • Reading the site or contacting us doesn’t make you anyone’s client. That only happens under a signed engagement agreement.
  • Our content is published alongside Olympic M&A, a healthcare M&A advisory firm, and we say so on every article.
  • You’re welcome to quote short excerpts with credit and a link. Copying whole articles isn’t allowed.
  • These terms are governed by [STATE] law.

Who runs Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report?

Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report is operated by Olympic M&A, (“we,” “us” or “our”). It’s an independent publication covering mergers, acquisitions, valuations and exit planning for addiction treatment organizations, including detox, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, and the behavioral health groups that acquire them.

What is the relationship with Olympic M&A?

Our content is published alongside Olympic M&A, a healthcare M&A advisory firm. When a reader asks to discuss a transaction or a valuation, Olympic M&A’s addiction treatment team responds. We disclose this so you can weigh our content with that relationship in mind, in line with the FTC’s guidance on disclosing material connections.

Our editorial content is researched independently, and every data claim carries a source or an “in our transaction experience” attribution. Where we mention Olympic M&A, it’s because it’s the advisory team we work with, not because a third party paid for the mention.

Who can use this site?

You must be at least 18 years old to use the site. It’s written for center owners, operators, executives, investors and the professionals who advise them. By using it, you confirm that you’re 18 or older and that you’ll follow these terms.

Is this treatment advice, or help finding treatment?

No. This is a finance publication about the business of treatment centers. Nothing here is clinical guidance, medical advice, or help finding care for yourself or someone else. If you or someone you know needs support for substance use, contact a qualified provider or the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357, which is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day.

Is the content legal, tax or investment advice?

No. Everything here is informational only. It isn’t legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment or valuation advice, and it isn’t a recommendation to buy or sell any organization. Every transaction is unique, so consult qualified advisors before acting.

This matters in addiction treatment more than most sectors. Accreditation standards, state licensing, levels-of-care rules, payer contracts and marketing and referral rules, including the Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act, differ by state and change over time. A structure or multiple that applied to one center may not apply to yours. Ranges we report describe the market in general, not what your organization is worth.

Does reading the site or contacting us make me a client?

No. Reading our articles, subscribing to The Recovery Brief, or sending an inquiry doesn’t create an advisory, fiduciary, attorney-client or any other professional relationship with us or with Olympic M&A. An advisory relationship exists only when you and Olympic M&A sign a written engagement agreement.

Until then, please don’t rely on anything we publish as advice about your own organization, and don’t send us information you’d only share with a professional under a confidentiality agreement. For how we handle what you do send, see our Privacy Policy.

Is this an offer to buy or sell a business?

Nothing on the site is an offer to buy or sell any business, company, security or interest in one, or a solicitation of such an offer. Any transaction happens only under separate written agreements between the parties involved, with their own advisers. We don’t act as a broker-dealer, and we don’t handle funds or securities.

How accurate is the information?

We work hard to get it right. Figures come from named sources, such as government agencies, accrediting bodies, published research and transaction reports, and we cite the source and date. But markets, rules and reimbursement change, sources can contain errors, and an article reflects the facts as of its publication or “updated” date. We don’t promise that any content is complete, current or error-free.

We never promise a specific valuation or a guaranteed outcome to any reader. If you spot a mistake, tell us at info@addictiontreatmentcenterexitreport.com. We correct errors and note significant corrections on the page.

Newsletter and emails

If you subscribe to The Recovery Brief, you agree to receive emails from us about addiction treatment M&A, valuations and related topics. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. How we handle your email address is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Inquiries and confidentiality

When you send an inquiry, we share it with Olympic M&A’s addiction treatment team so they can respond, as we explain on every form and in our Privacy Policy. We treat inquiries as confidential, we don’t share them with buyers or other operators, and we never imply publicly that any reader or center is “in play.” Formal confidentiality obligations, such as a non-disclosure agreement, apply only once they’re signed.

Please don’t send us information about the people your center treats, including names, records, assessments or photographs. We don’t need it, and we’ll delete it if it arrives. Records protected under 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA carry obligations that remain with your organization.

Case studies and real transactions

Any content referencing a real transaction is published only with written consent and internal sign-off, and is anonymized unless the parties agree otherwise. If you believe we’ve published something about your organization that you didn’t consent to, contact us at info@addictiontreatmentcenterexitreport.com and we’ll review it promptly.

Can I quote or share your articles?

Yes, within limits. You’re welcome to quote short excerpts, cite our figures, and share links, as long as you credit Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report and link to the original page. You may not copy, republish, sell or repackage whole articles or substantial parts of them without our written permission.

All content on the site, including articles, tables, charts, graphics, the Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report name and logo, and the site design, belongs to Olympic M&A or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of any of it.

What can’t I do on the site?

Don’t misuse the site, its content or its forms. That means no bulk copying or scraping, no attempts to break into or overload the site, no false information or spam through our forms, no harmful code, and nothing unlawful. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Copy or scrape content in bulk, including for building datasets, other than through standard search engine indexing
  • Try to break into, overload or disrupt the site or its systems
  • Submit false information, impersonate someone, or send spam through our forms
  • Upload viruses or any harmful code
  • Use the site in a way that breaks any law or infringes anyone else’s rights

We may suspend or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Links to other websites

Our articles link to other sites, including sources, regulators, accrediting bodies, research firms and Olympic M&A. We include those links because they’re useful, but we don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link isn’t an endorsement of everything on the linked site.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors or harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our partners, including Olympic M&A, aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business value or lost data, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using the site, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from that claim.

Which law applies to these terms?

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and you agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll flag it on the site or to newsletter subscribers. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

General terms

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t waived it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site. We may transfer our rights under these terms, for example if the site changes hands. You may not transfer yours without our consent.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content here infringes your copyright, email info@addictiontreatmentcenterexitreport.com with a description of the work, where it appears on our site, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized. We’ll review it promptly and remove infringing material.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rely on these articles to value or sell my center?
Use them to understand the market and ask better questions, not as the basis for a decision. Our articles are general information, not advice about your organization. Value depends on payer mix, census and length of stay, levels of care, accreditation, outcomes and your state, so get a specific valuation and legal advice before acting.

Is Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report owned by Olympic M&A?
Addiction Treatment Center Exit Report is operated by Olympic M&A, and its content is published alongside Olympic M&A, a healthcare M&A advisory firm whose addiction treatment team responds to readers who ask to discuss a transaction. We disclose the relationship on every article and in these terms.

I’m looking for treatment, not an M&A publication. Can you help?
This site is written for people who own and run treatment organizations, so it isn’t the right resource for finding care. The SAMHSA National Helpline, 1-800-662-4357, is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, and can point you to treatment and support services.

Can I share your articles with my leadership team or advisers?
Yes. Share links freely, and quote short excerpts with credit and a link to the original. Circulating a link or a short quote internally is fine. Republishing whole articles, or large parts of them, on another site or in a paid product needs our written permission first.

Which law applies to these terms?
[STATE] law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms goes to the state or federal courts in [COUNTY, STATE]. Some consumer protection laws where you live may still apply, and nothing in these terms takes away rights you can’t legally give up.
